1. Register at the front desk and present your health insurance card if you have one
2. The dentist examines your teeth, gums and bite
3. A dental X-ray is taken when a deeper assessment is needed
4. The dentist explains your condition and the treatment options
5. Costs are set out clearly, including what health insurance covers, before anything is done

How health insurance applies

This is treatment of a dental condition, so it falls within health insurance (BHYT) coverage under the regulations when you are treated at a facility that has a health insurance service contract, such as Ky Hoa Medical Center. The exact level of cover depends on the beneficiary group shown on your card.
